School Council at St Chad’s

Our school council act as representatives for their peers in discussing school issues with the headteacher, deputy headteacher and other staff. It is an important way of representing and contributing to Pupil Voice here at St Chad’s. Students are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to help improve the school. They help to make decisions about how the school is run and take on projects that support the children’s learning and development. Our school council here at St Chad’s does a number of things:

  • School council meets with Mr Jones every fortnight to discuss and consider ways in which we can make our school even better.
  • These could include school lunches, ideas for fundraising events, etc.
  • School Council also respond to our worship themes which are explored during our ‘Windows, Mirrors & Doors’ worships and will then consider ways in which we can respond to these and become ‘Agents of Change’.
  • Each year, every class will elect two representatives to be members of the school council. At St Chads, we have representatives from Reception – Y6.

Our School Council Representatives this year are: (Results Pending Election)
