Curriculum Intent:

As a result of a high quality and ambitious curriculum, children are courageous learners and lifelong readers. They have a deep love of others and their community. They are knowledgeable and prepared for learning and life beyond St Chad’s.

At St Chad’s CE Primary School we offer a full and progressive curriculum, designed to meet the needs of our cultural capital. Our wider curriculum is built through close partnership with The ATLP. We ensure that we provide opportunities for retrieval to ensure children are able to embed and refine new knowledge as they progress through school, so that pupils know more and remember more.

As a Church of England school, faith is at the heart of all we do. Staff and pupils strive to ‘live life in all its fullness’. We strive to be an inclusive school, promoting love and acceptance of others. This is reflected explicitly in our reading spines, daily worships, PSHE and focus days.

The Arthur Terry Learning Partnership is committed to keeping our students safe, both in school and the wider community. As part of our safeguarding arrangements, we have a two-way information sharing agreement in place with the local police authority. The agreement is compliant with Crime & Disorder Act 1998 (s.115) and Data Protection Act 1998(s.29.3; s.35.2.), and focuses on preventing young people from becoming involved or further involved in crime and anti-social behaviour as a victim or offender.
